History of Video Games

Nintendo has the power!

Anyways, I recently saw a “History Lesson” involving the History of Video Games, which covered the Oddyssy, Atari 2600 (They didn’t cover 5200), and the Big N itself, Nintendo.

I didn’t really learn much other then the people who made Atari, and that there was a company named, “Mirrorsoft” (Did this make Microsoft? Haha)

Well, my favorite part of the movie was when I saw the Zelda rap commercial for the original Zelda game. (It’s soooo funny.) I also found it funny how Mario was originally named, “JUMPMAN” (Move over Megaman, new boss comin through!) I’m surprised how I already know what an oddyssy is, God, I feel like a nerd. Also, Donkey Kong Country was the best series ever made by Rare and Nintendo, next to Banjo-Kazooie.

Possibly one of the weirder songs I seem to listen to when I code, it has english subs if your into ‘singing’ along.

Anyways, I’ve presented Gauntlet to the class, but I’m not going to release it out to the public just yet. When I’ve atleast finished (or near) it, I shall release the source and code.

I haven’t been working on EBO a lot or the Kirby Arena series I have, but, I have gotten some sprites done for KA.

Week Two: The Blog

I learned that blogs seem to be like the news. Except a faster and more reliable way of getting it to everyone… Wow, I guess.

News use to go around by paper, then by TV and then by Internet. 21st century has two categorys then the 20th century, which only had one, and it’s “Proffesional”, in the 21st century we now have “Personal”, which people all over the world could post something they call “News”, It’s actually kinda cool when you think about it. It’s like a Website, but more organized… Well, that’s what I think anyways…
